ZULL Pinot Noir Wienviertel, Austria-2018----93 points- $48.95 - ships in 6 bottle case

CA$294.90

Medium garnet, purple hues towards the broad rim. Inviting bouquet of wild berries, floral nuances, with a hint of nougat and caramel in the background. Juicy, elegant, ripe cherry fruit, fine tannins, pleasant freshness, mineral finish; a balanced food companion. Score - 93 Falstaff

What the Critic’s say:

Score - 93. Peter Moser- Falstaff

Here's an intriguingly ripe-stemmy, earthy, compost-driven pinot noir from the Weinviertel, with more than a touch of barnyard, wet hay, horse blanket. The palate is medium-full-bodied, saturated with flavour and showing evident concentration and ripeness again, with fruit ranging in the darker, more plummy, black cherry spectrum and the palate heats up on the back end with 13.5% alcohol declared. Wood and lees also provide significant flavour, with an almost mouth-numbing degree of clove flavour and baker's yeast. It's evidently a carefully and ambitiously-made pinot. Drink or hold another 3-5 years
